URBACT III Project

URBACT III is a European Territorial Cooperation programme (2014-2020) jointly financed by the European Union to as a European exchange and learning programme promoting sustainable urban development. It will enable European cities to work together to develop solutions to urban challenges and share good practices, lessons and solutions with all stakeholders involved in urban policy throughout Europe. The programme will cover all of the 28 Member States of the European Union as well as the two partner countries of Norway and Switzerland. URBACT III will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and good practice between cities and other levels of government in order to promote integrated sustainable development and improve the effectiveness of regional and cohesion policy.

Beyond Energy Action Strategies

The BEAST project will be the first step in closing the implementation gap of SEAPs. The project will: 1) establish structures for efficient delivery of SEAPs, 2) identify and prepare 23 bankable sustainable energy projects, and 3) implement actions leading to measurable energy savings and/or increase renewable energy sources supply. Estimated investments due to BEAST is close to € 45 million and reduced emissions of GHG is estimated to about 24 000 tCO2 per year.

The Croatian Partner of Renovate Europe, HUPFAS, prepared this poster to show the current situation of buildings renovation at the national level for Public Buildings, Multi Apartment Houses, and Family Houses. Public Buildings renovations planned for period of 2014-2015 targets 200 buildings covering 420,000m² with a 30 to 60% reduction of approximately 150 kWh/m² annually; a reduction of 20,500 t/CO2 annually, with expected costs of 52m EUR.
